Dear UCW Members,

We are at a critical moment in Tennessee and we need to get real about building the power necessary to take back our state for working people. Will you make a plan to attend our Statewide Convention this year on September 28?

Convention is our yearly gather that brings together faculty and staff from all across the state to:

• Build relationships across campuses
• Discuss important strategies on campus and in the legislature
• Strengthen our campaigns for fair pay and living wages
• Set the priorities for our union in 2020

We need YOU to be there and represent your campus in these important strategy discussions.

Here are the details:

2019 UCW Convention
Saturday, September 28
10 am - 4 pm CT, breakfast at 9 am
MNEA Building, 531 Fairground CT, Nashville, TN

Breakfast and lunch provided
Transportation and childcare available

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Register NOW to attend convention.

2. Spread the word to your co-workers!

3. Let us know what you're most excited to hear and learn about!

Lastly, per UCW's By-Laws, any proposed changes to our by-laws may be discussed and voted on at convention, and must be submitted at least 10 days in advance of the voting. Any proposed changes may be submitted to fairness@ucw-cwa.org by September 18.
